Incidental medical services (IMS) are vital in the transition of rehabilitative patients to a normal life. These services include appropriate medical interventions to address the health issues during the recovery, treatment, or detoxification processes.
The California Department of Health Care Service released a list of guidelines in performing IMS. Specifically, IMS include the following responsibilities:
- Health status supervision/monitoring
- Medication administration
- Substance abused disorder treatment
- Drug and alcohol abuse recovery treatment
- Medical history reviewing
- Detoxification tests
Our on-site incidental medical services at New Road Recovery Services do not include medical care as provided in a typical healthcare facility. Our services only cater to the medical needs of our patients undergoing rehabilitation.
